Relocating to Charlotte

I've made this move myself

Charlotte gave me life after the military and a place to plant my roots. If you're moving here for a new job, family, military orders or a fresh start, I know what it takes because I've done it.

How I help you move here

  1. 1
Pick the right area firstWe match how you want to live to the right part of Charlotte before you ever pack a box. Start with my area guides.
  2. 2
Tour from wherever you areCan't get here yet? I'll walk homes on live video and tell you what the photos don't show.
  3. 3
Land with a team in placeLenders, inspectors, movers and contractors. I know people who get things done, so you're not starting from scratch.
How it works in North Carolina

Two sides, one plan

North Carolina does a few things differently from other states. Here's the short version, with the full guide one tap away.

If you're buying

What the road looks like, start to keys.

  1. 1
Get pre-approvedA lender checks your documents so your offer carries weight.
  2. 2
Sign a buyer agreementSince August 2024, NC requires it in writing before we tour. We settle how I'm paid up front.
  3. 3
Make an offer with due diligence termsThe due diligence fee, earnest money and number of days are all negotiated.
  4. 4
Inspect, appraise, close with an attorneyClosings in NC are run by an attorney who handles title and funds.

If you're selling

From pricing to the closing table.

  1. 1
Price from real comparablesRecent sales nearby and today's competition set the number, not wishful thinking.
  2. 2
Prep and show it wellPhotos, staging advice and a plan for the first two weeks on the market.
  3. 3
Compare offers beyond priceDue diligence fee, earnest money, closing date and financing type all change what an offer is worth.
  4. 4
Know your costs before you signAgent compensation, attorney fees, loan payoff and NC excise tax of $2 per $1,000 of price.
Military and veterans

I've worn the uniform. I'll walk you through the VA loan.

If you're active duty, a veteran or a military family, you have a home-buying benefit worth understanding. I'll explain how it works and connect you with lenders who work with VA loans every day.

Eligibility and terms are set by the VA and your lender. Talk with a VA-approved lender about your situation.

Born on the coast. Served my country. Planted roots in Charlotte.

I'm Jason Moore, a REALTOR® with RE/MAX Results. I grew up in the Wilmington area and served my country in the U.S. Army, including a deployment to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Charlotte gave me life after the military and a place to plant my roots. I got into real estate because I wanted to keep serving, and looking out for the people I work with comes naturally. When you hire me, your move gets my full attention.

Read my story

  • Clear numbers up front. You'll know what a house costs to buy, hold and sell before you commit.
  • Offers built around what matters. Price is one lever. Due diligence terms, timing and financing are the others.
  • Follow-through. You hear from me when something changes, not when you have to ask.
